    HARRIS DERMATOLOGY HOSTS

    FREE SKIN CANCER SCREENING

    ON MAY 4, 2012 AND MAY 11, 2012

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and Harris Dermatology is providing a free skin cancer screening at the Fort Myers office on May 4 from 11am to 1pm and at our Naples office May 11 from 11am to 1pm.

A skin cancer screening is a quick, easy, non-invasive, two to three minute visual inspection of the exposed areas of skin (face, neck, arms, lower legs) by a medical professional.  Our medical providers are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.  Attendees will not be required to remove any clothing, and no appointment is necessary.  Participants must be 18 years or older.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer among adults 55 and over, which is why an annual full body skin exam is just as important as an annual mammogram or PSA test.  When treated early, skin cancer is the most curable of all cancers.

The physicians at Harris Dermatology specialize in detecting, diagnosing and treating skin cancer.  We are the leading dermatology practice in Southwest Florida, providing Mohs Micrographic Surgery, a highly effective, minimally invasive technique for removing certain types of skin cancer.

Please contact our office, 239-936-3344, for directions or additional information.

Are you planning a wellness program for your community or place of business?

Harris Dermatology embraces the opportunity to educate the Southwest Florida community regarding skin cancer and the ways to prevent it.  Statistics show that skin cancer will affect one in five Americans and is the most common form of cancer among adults 55 and over.  However, when treated early, skin cancer is the most curable of all cancers.  Harris Dermatology offers free skin cancer screenings and can provide this service to you at your location.

If you would like more information regarding this opportunity, please contact Kim Munn, Practice Administrator, at 239-936-3344.
